The best robot vacuum for pet hair should come with powerful suction and brushes that won’t cause long pet hair to get caught up. It should also have a sophisticated application and the ability establish zones that are not allowed to be used.

In my tests in my tests, the iRobot j7+ scored top marks for picking up cat and dog hair on hardwood floors. It also has an obstacle avoidance feature that is said to detect socks and cords.

1. Eufy RoboVac – G30

Eufy, an upcoming player in the market for robot vacuums, has received positive reviews for its sleek design that can slide under low furniture. The G30 is a bit larger than the 11S model but still remarkably slim, and packs stronger suction and a mopping feature into an overall package that’s less than three inches tall. It also comes with an nook for charging that keeps the charging base hidden when not in use.

The G30 uses the same app as many of Eufy’s other robots. It’s a basic application in comparison to its more expensive counterparts, but it comes with a few useful functions. You can share control of the G30 through the Settings menu. The robot can also play a loud music to help you locate it, which is useful when it is stuck in the sofa or runs across the room.

One of the most important aspects to take into consideration when choosing a robot vacuum is its capability to pick up pet hair. The G30 was excellent at this task, removing short and long cat and dog hairs from our test floor. It even sucked dried clumps of cat food that older Roomba 675 struggled with.

The G30 offers two options for more specific cleaning tasks, Spot and Edge. The G30 can clean an area for up to two minutes when you draw an outline of a floor. The first does the same thing, but pauses in between to prevent overcrowding the dustbin.

Like many robotic vacuums the G30 generates a map as it cleans and keeps it in its memory. But it doesn’t offer any other features that are smart like labeling rooms or setting virtual no-go zones. You can set boundary strips through the app, but these felt more like suggestions than boundaries. The G30 is a clever and efficient robot vacuum that is available at an affordable price.

2. Neato D9

The Neato D9 robot vacuum cleaner has a larger brush and a bigger dust bin. It also features intelligent LIDAR mapping to clean corners effectively. It is equipped with sensors as well as a docking station that is able to charge.

The D9 is an upgrade to the D8 which has twice the runtime and improved mapping. It also comes with a multi-surface brush that is more advanced and an ultra-performance filtration system that can capture smaller particles, like pet fur, than standard filters.

In our tests in the lab, both carpets and hard flooring performed well. It also had one of the longest battery lives, allowing it to cover a large home before needing a recharge. The D9 doesn’t come with an remote control, however you can operate it manually by pressing the power button on the unit, or via your smartphone with the MyNeato app (available for Android and iOS) or via voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant.

The D9’s LIDAR onboard can help the self emptying robot vacuum pet hair map and clean your home in a rational manner that doesn’t encounter obstacles. This can help it clean more thoroughly. However, its size may hinder it from getting under some tables and chairs, so it’s not the ideal option for homes that have precious antiques or collectibles. It also climbs up the bases of chairs and lamp bases and cause damage to them or cause the robot to fall.

Like the other models in the D series, the D9 features a large brush that can pick up dirt and debris at the edges of rooms. It also comes with a Turbo mode to remove large amounts of dirt and pet fur on carpets. In our tests, we discovered that the D9 worked well on carpets as well as hard floors. It also did a great job at picking up pet fur on both. The D9 has a HEPA filter that removes fine particulates which can trigger asthma or allergies. The D9 is easy to set up and use. With the MyNeato App you can designate zones to target problem areas, like crumbs under tables or no-go zones that restrict the area the robot can cover, like narrow hallways.

iLife Pro 3. iLife 3s

The iLife V3s Pro robot vacuum is one of the most effective vacuums for pet hair on hard flooring. It also comes with mopping mode, and it can navigate stairways and other obstacles. Its slim design allows it to be easily tucked under furniture, allowing it access to the dirt and hair of pets in places that are difficult to reach. The auto-charging feature of the device saves time by returning to its dock when the battery is depleted. It can be controlled with an app or the remote control.

iLife’s V3s Pro offers many of the features of higher-end models but costs less than half as much. It is able to clean low-pile flooring, stone and a variety hardwood and tile surfaces. It can be programmed to clean daily according to a set schedule and will continue to do so even when you are not at home. It is equipped with sensors that stop it from falling down the stairs or scratching furniture legs. Its pearl white finish is elegant and blends well with many decor styles. It’s low enough to be able to fit under sofas and beds.

Although its tiny motor can’t provide the same power as more expensive models, it works quickly and efficiently to eliminate pet hair and other particles from hard floors. The V3s Pro is also capable of cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and other rooms on a daily on a regular basis.

The V3s Pro does not have a rotating brush but it has a 3 inch opening that allows debris to be carried away into the dustbin. Two brushes with three-spoke bristles sit on either side to loosen crumbs and other particles, before being swept away.

The iLife V3s Pro has a cleaning performance that is comparable to the one of the Roomba from iRobot and Eufy RoboVac. The results of its lab tests were average when compared to other robotic vacuums with similar specifications. It completed its test in 1 hour 31 minutes and 1 second, which is somewhat slower than the iRobot Roomba or the Shark Ion R85. It was able of cleaning pet hair and other debris off the floor, but it struggled with high-pile carpeting that was thick or rugs.

4. Deebot X2 Omni

Ecovacs’ X2 Omni robot mop and vacuum isn’t the latest model, however it’s still a great choice for cleaning pet hair. It can clean carpets and floors. It has rotating washing pads that are submerged in hot, 131-degree water to help it eliminate dirt and pet hair. This is an exclusive feature that other robots lack, and helps the Deebot distinguish itself from the competition.

The robot is also adept at avoiding obstructions. It was able to stay clear of furniture legs, pet toys and even poop when tested. Additionally the X2 Omni’s ability to avoid obstacles is tracked by its inbuilt security camera, giving you an unbeatable hands-free experience.

Owners appreciate the ease of use and performance, despite being more expensive than iRobot Combo j7+. The only negative to the X2 Omni is that it requires an internet connection in order to operate, which can be an issue in some homes.

The X2 Omni can be set up with ease. It comes with mopping pads and a side brush that are already in place which makes it a plug and play device. It is also among the quietest robotic vacuums we have tested.

Another important feature of the X2 Omni is its all-in-one OMNI Station. This unique docking system automatically removes and stores dust, allergens and other debris for more than 60 days, while it also washes the mop and replenishes its water reservoir to ensure it is ready for the next cleaning task. This ensures that the mop is always working on a clean and fresh surface which prevents the growth of bacteria.

The X2 Omni is also equipped with a new YIKO voice control, which allows you to give the robot commands such as “move forward, clean there” or advanced schedules. It also has a 960p security camera that can be activated via the app to monitor your home at any point of the day or night.
