During our testing, it performed admirably on both hard floors and carpets with low pile. It picked up most of the smaller, harder debris we dropped on each surface and tackling the larger cereal crumbs that we dropped on the carpet. It’s not as good at handling pet hair than some of the top models we’ve tested however, and it may be stuck on cords or toys if you don’t pick them up before you send the robot to clean.

In our tests In our tests, the i3+ EVO cleaned for about 90 minutes before its battery ran low and it reverted to its initial state. This is much better than the i7+ or s9+, which was able to run for just 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO has a good record of recollecting its previous run, something we’ve not seen with other robots.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

If you’re looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner with the ability to mop, the SwitchBot K10 Plus is a great option. The small size of this robot lets it reach places that larger robots cannot such as corners and under furniture. It also has a sophisticated LiDAR sensor that is able to detect obstacles and avoid collisions.

During our tests, the K10 Plus vacuumed up pet hair as well as crumbs and other debris quickly and efficiently from our carpeting. It also did a great job of getting into tight spots like under our beds and around chair legs. In addition to vacuuming, it can also perform mopping tasks using a separate cloth or wet wipe. The K10 Plus comes with a small package containing wet wipes that will get you moving.

The app for K10 Plus is easy to use and understand. However, its powerful motor is more than enough to make up for it.

In iRobot’s tests the S9+ was able to remove pet hair and cat litter easily. It also performed exceptionally on hard floors, where its powerful motor could get through all types of flooring as well as corners and edges with ease. Its advanced vSLAM technology and Imprint Smart Mapping made it one of our top navigators. It is able to find its way through sofas or beds with draped valances over them.

The iRobot App makes it easy to set up and use. You can select which functions you want to activate when setting up the robot, or you can wait until after you’ve gotten familiar with it. The internal bin has to be manually emptied occasionally when it gets full The process is less than 15 seconds and it’s relatively quiet.

The S8 is equipped with improved HyperForce suction that can pick up fine particles and hair with ease. The app lets you modify the suction power. The device is able to automatically switch between energy efficient ‘Quiet Balanced’ and ‘Turbo” modes based on the surface it is cleaning. It also comes with a ‘Carpet Suction Boost’ mode that enhances suction when the robot is on carpets.

You can manage the S8 using one button, which also functions as a general “Clean button, or an ‘Spot Clean’ button to direct the robot to that specific area.
